About the Role
EVCO is looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support our Aircraft Parts Division. You will help develop and coordinate aircraft component projects submitted to the FAA for Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA). This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to grow in aerospace manufacturing, CAD design, engineering analysis, and FAA certification processes.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and coordinate aircraft component part projects for PMA submission
• Perform dimensional analysis across various material types and create accurate drawings/models
• Support substantiation reports (FEA, safety assessments, test plans) with guidance from senior engineering staff
• Participate in KO/PDR/CDR design review gates
• Work collaboratively with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
• Troubleshoot design, performance, and reliability issues
• Assist in maintaining EVCO’s engineering processes and documentation
• Stay current on FAA regulations and industry standards
• Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
• 1–5 years of aerospace industry experience
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work in warehouse or shop environments; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Some travel required
Preferred:
• Understanding of aircraft systems and engineering fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and the PMA process (training provided)
